SENDING YOUR KID TO STANFORD?

You might want to re-think that particular plan.

THIS is the type of teacher that works there and will be filling your kid's head with all the news that's incorrect, thereby turning him into another Johnny Lindh.

For $50,000 or more a year, find some other place to take your money.

JESSE IS RIGHT

It’s a rare occasion you’ll hear me say I agree with Jesse Jackson, but his call for everyone in the entertainment business to stop using the word “nigger” is wholeheartedly supported by LRRP’s World.

For those of you living in caves, this matter arose due to the remarks of not-so-funny Michael Richards (Seinfeld character Cosmo Kramer). Richards blew a cork on stage and started screaming the word out to some hecklers, whose heckling (after the remarks) sounded pretty pointed and deserved.

I always thought hecklers were the hardest part of stand-up, but Richards seems to have pretty well ended his career with his insane outburst.

Anyway … the reason I bring this up is because of THIS that comes courtesy of the folks at the National Lampoon site.

You will laugh your ass off at the editing. Thanks to AMS for the heads up.

THE TRAITORS AT THE NEW YORK TIMES

Those asshole elitists at the New York Times have leaked another document that will go towards getting our folks killed in Iraq. This time it’s an assessment of the current Iraqi premier, which was negative.

But, nooooooo … the infighting going on in Iraq doesn’t have ANY thing to do with terrorism. Didn’t ya know? It’s a civil war. Al Qaida has nothing to do with it.

Well, here’s wishing another editor at the Times and all those smugly smiling folks watching our people catch it — rot in hell.

Bomb Iran … But Start on West 43rd Street.

SHOP SEARS, DRIVE TOYOTAS, RENT ENTERPRISE

SHOP SEARS, DRIVE TOYOTAS, RENT FROM ENTERPRISE

There’s an e-mail making the rounds about Sears continuing to pay full wages and more to Reservists and Guardsmen called up for Iraq and Afghanistan. Thankfully, the e-mail is true and there are other companies doing it as well.

Toyota USA, which provides more American auto-industry jobs than anyone, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car are two companies doing more than Federal law requires.

For a list of others that are taking care of our military, go HERE .

Patronize and purchase goods from these companies, because they’re putting their money where their mouths are.

YA GOTTA LOVE LIBERAL JUDGES

California Federal Court Judge Audrey Collins (who was appointed to the federal bench by President Clinton in 1994. Now THERE's a surprise), said "The USA Patriot Act places no limitation on the type of expert advice and assistance which is prohibited and instead bans the provision of all expert advice and assistance regardless of its nature," to designated terrorist organizations.

She struck down a similar provision in a 1996 federal antiterrorism law that banned "training" or "providing" personnel to groups designated by the State Department as foreign terrorist organizations. That law was enacted in response to the Oklahoma City bombing in which 168 persons were killed in a federal building.

So it’s okay to train terrorists if you’re training terrorists because training terrorists is against … ah …!

THE ENEMY WITHIN

Okay, I lied. THIS is the last thing I say about the November 7 elections.

How stupid are Minnesota's Democrat voters?

U.S.-based CAIR (Council on Islamic American Relations), whose organizational ancestry includes the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), founded by Hamas senior member Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, celebrated the election of its beloved son and first-ever Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison (D-MN).

Amid echoes of “Allahu Akbar!” at Ellison’s victory celebration (which caused some red faces on the local television when they had to switch out of the victory party very rapidly when THAT started), one could almost hear the words of CAIR’s founding board chairman (and former IAP president) Omar Ahmed:

“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant... The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

Now, Ellison, along with fellow Democrat House members Elijah Cummings, Albert Wynn and Sheila Jackson Lee, will be hobnobbing with anti-America’s best as they address CAIR’s annual banquet this weekend.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE DOWNRIGHT IDIOTIC

On the Good side: The government of the Ntherlands who gave us wooden shoes, tulips, windmills and fiiiiine looking women, is going to pass a law banning the burkha or anything else that covers ones face in public. Hail the Dutch, and thank you Adrian Block.

On the Bad side: Judith Regan the editor who is publishing the OJ Simpson, How-I-Committed-Two-Murders-and-What-Are-You –Gonna-Do-About-It book, is pedaling backwards faster than a clown on a unicycle. Because she’d “been abused” she thought the proceeds from the book would go to “Simpson’s children.” Kiss my old fat ass you money grubbing low life. Vassar logic, naturally.

On the Downright Idiotic side: Well, there’s an awful lot out there. Fox is gonna run with Simpson, so that officially makes them one of the causes of the downfall of the American Republic (fair play: Bill O’Reilly, was railing against his own network the other night), That ass wipe Cindy Sheehan gets a feature article in Al Jazeera (which, I believe is now on the air in the US), we haven’t nuked Iran yet even thought they are getting ready to put missiles into Lebanon (oh, wait. The Democrats are gonna’ have such a shit stink to deal with), and ...

... That Was The Week … or at least some of it … That Was.

Nuke Iran Now

Have a good weekend.

LAWRENCE OF ARABIA GOES TO IRAQ

The Brits have always had a good rep for fighting in the desert, and apparently that holds true today. Check out Defense Technology International’s November-December 2006 issue, pages 26 and 27 about the unconventional warfare being waged by the Queen’s Royal Hussars in the wilds of Iraq.

This has an added plus because you actually get to read the entire mag via the NXTBook system, something I’ve never encountered before. It’s a step up from Adobe PDFs. Quite cool, chaps!

LAST WORD

This is the last thing I say about the elections. I promise.

A Friday (November 10, 2006) sermon delivered by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, regarding the Democrats’ election victory.

“Since Washington’s hostile and hawkish policies have always been against the Iranian nation, this defeat is actually an obvious victory for the Iranian nation.”

Nuke Teheran. Twice.

Okay. Just use tactical nukes.

FIFTH ANNIVERSARY

It was five years ago today when members of the Northern Alliance rolled into Kabul, Afghnaistan, driving the Taliban and their al Qaeda allies into hiding places in the south.

NEW ISLAND

Some very cool pics of pumice rafts and a new island coming out of the sea somewhere in the Tonga chain in the deep Pacific.

And life goes on.

VETERAN'S DAY

Today is Veteran’s Day, a date well worth remembering in these times regardless of your thoughts on the war. Originally designated to commemorate the end of World War I on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, it has receded into the mists of time remaining one of the bloodiest events in world history. Although it was considered during its time to be “the war to end all wars,” it — unfortunately — was simply a preamble to wars to come.

Originally known as Armistice Day, it became a national holiday in 1938. In 1953 some folks in Emporia, Kansas, opted to remember all veterans on the day and in 1954 the name was officially changed to Veteran’s Day and became the day we honor all of our living veterans.

Two days after Veteran’s Day, marks another military occurrence somewhat lost to history: it was the day the USS Juneau was sunk during the Battle of Guadalcanal. What makes that memorable is that the five Sullivan brothers (George, Francis, Joseph, Madison and Albert) were all serving aboard the ship and all five were killed.

While no law prohibits having brothers serve together — contrary to popular myth — having brothers serve on the same ship or in the same military units has been frowned upon ever since.

An interesting aside to the USS Juneau story: there were 37 sets of brothers assigned to the USS Arizona when it was sunk at Pearl Harbor; 24 pairs were killed as were two of three brothers from three other families.

Stories aside, soldiers still die in war, and soldiers still serve our country regardless of elitist arrogance, political expediency or media repugnance and always will. And it is ALL those who have served in this most honorable and selfless profession that we honor today.

"Every man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldier, or not having been at sea." - Samuel Johnson

APPARENTLY IT’S NOT JUST ME

From The Patriot files.

Nerchivan Barzani, Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan regional government, recently met with families of American soldiers who have fallen in service to our—and his—country. He had a message for the American news media:

“CNN International and Al Jazeera are equally bad in their coverage of the situation in Iraq.” Needless to say, that’s quite an indictment. Speaking to the delegation of Gold Star Families, he added, “When I was in the United States recently and read the negative news in the Washington Post, New York Times and in the network TV broadcasts, I even wondered if things had gotten so bad since I had left that I shouldn’t return.”

Now that Democrats are in control of Congress we expect that the world will suddenly become a better place to the media.

SOME GAVE ALL

The idea behind this is predictable, but this is worth checking out nonetheless. It’s What Would Happen if the Battle for Iwo Jima was Fought Today.

And predictable though it may be, it’s also damn true.

A tune called Some Gave All provides the music. You do the reading. Great shots of Iwo.

Thanks to Bruce S. for the head’s up.

NOW THAT THAT’S OUT OF THE WAY

Time for the ol’ Saigon Two Step, now that it looks like the Dems are in power.

Let’s make sure and leave ANYbody who helped us over there at the mercy of the Islamo fascists.

Can you say, “Stick your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye?”

Some 2500-plus dead GIs all so the Dems can chickenshit out. Gah-damn democracy is wunnerful. And just in tiume for Veteran's Day.

Best to the Marines on their 231st Anniversary (November 10). Semper Fi.

Watch THIS . A tribute to all those in harm's way.
