LAST WORD
Essentially he blames it all on President Bush and VP Cheney, saying that it was a "botched joke" and the president "knew it."
"I apologize to no one for my criticism of the President and of his broken policy. If anyone owes our troops in the fields an apology, it is the President."
If anyone wants the full text of Kerry's answer, I'll be happy to forward it to you.
The arrogance of this increasingly inconsequential mutt is unbelieveable.
ANYway ...
Back on the road ... see ya in some ....
FAIR PRESS?
But the NYT’s headline? “Kerry and GOP Spar Over Iraq Remark;” CNN “GOP blasts Kerry For “Stuck in Iraq” Remark;” Boston Globe “Kerry Draws White House Criticism for Iraq Comment.”
THE LIBERAL MAINSTREAM PRESS ARE AS HYPOCRITICAL, SANCTIMONIOUS AND ARROGANT AS JOHN KERRY WHO SLIGHTED EVERY SERVICE MEMBER WHO IS FIGHTING OR HAS FOUGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY.
Here’s the “Iraq comment.” And I’ll bet you anything the press and the rest of the big mouths on the left will act as if he said nothing of consequence (wellllll, they might have a point. HE NEVER says anything of consequence), the arrogant dumbass twit.
Kerry’s a hypocritical ass and the MSP are party-line spewing afterthoughts with nary a grip on anything approaching reality.
“Speaking before California students at a Democrat rally on Monday, Senator John
Kerry (D-MA) again denigrated US troops. Kerry has spoken against US
soldiers in the past, including a 2005 interview on CBS’ Face the Nation
when he accused US soldiers of “terrorizing kids and children” in Iraq.”
“On Monday, Kerry belittled the educational level of US troops, when he said
to the assembled students: “You know education, if you make the most of it,
you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart,
you can do well. And if you don’t you get stuck in Iraq.”
You tell me those headlines even HINT at what he actually said.

TRUTH
“As of this writing 2,802 young Americans have been killed during three and a half years of war in Iraq. That’s roughly the same number killed at Iwo Jima during the first three and a half days of fighting against the Japanese. Every life lost was precious and every loss grievous to those who loved them. Unfortunately, our media intends to use every one of those killed to make their point. It’s a lesson they learned in Vietnam. On February 27, 1968, after a month of brutal fighting and daily images of U.S. casualties on American television, Walter Cronkite, then the host of the CBS Evening News, proclaimed that the Tet Offensive had proven to him that the Vietnam War was no longer winnable... It didn’t matter that Tet had been a decisive victory for the United States and South Vietnam.
“Today’s potentates of the press are trying to deliver the same message: that Iraq, like Vietnam, is un-winnable. One television network has gone so far as to broadcast images of U.S. troops being killed by terrorists—making Iraq the first war where Americans get their news from the enemy. The war in Vietnam wasn’t lost during Tet 68 no matter what Cronkite said. Rather, it was lost in the pages of America’s newspapers, on our televisions, our college campuses—and eventually in the corridors of power in Washington.
We need to pray that this war isn’t lost the same way.” — Oliver North

THOUGHTS FOR A RAINY SATURDAY
Anybody taking odds on what a tactical nuke would do to Iran and North Korea? Anybody with an over/under on the body count?
How come it’s illegal for a Klansman to wear a white hood but legal for a Muslim to wear a black burkha?
Why is flushing a copy of the Koran a hate crime?
If I flush a Bible will the FBI investigate?
If you’re from a state that has a “quit the war” slot on its ballot in November, does it make you an invertebrate?
The American Revolution lasted eight years. Would we all sound like Steve Irwin if the Democrats had been in charge?
Does everything a liberal say suffer from the Dopeler effect? You know, the tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.
Isn’t war the ultimate extreme sport?
Why is the war in Iraq following Rule Six of Brockian Ultra Cricket? (The winning team shall be the first team that wins.)
That's a wrap ... for now.
Say your prayers for the guys and gals over there and have a good weekend

IT'S ALL OUR FAULT
CHO OYU
For those of you who don’t follow this stuff: China took over Tibet about 50 years ago, and the spiritual leader of the country, the Dalai Lama, fled to India. Since then Tibetans wanting to make a pilgrimage to see the Dalai Lama have had to hoof it over the border avoiding the usual Himalayan pitfalls as well as armed Chinese border guards.
Earlier this month a group of men, women and children were interdicted by the Chinese border guards who opened fire on them, killing at least three individuals. The incident was filmed by Romanian Pro TV cameraman Sergiu Matei.
I realize — in the course of current events — this doesn’t even qualify as a blip, but take a look at the video and keep it in mind.
Go HERE to see a short video on the killings.
OKAY … NEW SPORT
I don’t know if it has a name yet, but I’m gonna’ call it Kiting. Here’s A SITE that explains it all and HERE’S a video of the gear in action. Looks very neat, seems fairly easy to get the hang of (where have I heard THAT before?) and definitely looks like a hoot.
Ah to be young again!
By the way, there’s a good soundtrack with the vid, and the opening commercial is a smiler.

AND NOW BACK TO THE REAL WORLD
Enough about Ms Gabriel. Her daily (or nearly so) newsletter contained an interesting piece relating to what the next terrorist incident to occur in the US might very well look like. The author, Frank Borelli , is the lead instructor for Strategos International’s (a company manufacturing night vision equipment) newly released course of instruction addressing the realities of the “Use of Force in the Law Enforcement Environment.”
The letter/report to ACFT is based on a lecture Borelli attended given by John Gidduck, an author and lecturer who, among his many talents, provides instructional services to the United States Special Forces on various topics. He is also president of the Archangel Group , a nonprofit organization that provides consulting and training at all levels of public safety and military operations.
Gidduck’s lecture and latest book, and Borelli’s summary, are based on the siege in Beslan, Russia in which 49 muslim terrorists/murderers held 1200 children, teachers and parents hostage, eventually killing over 300 (153 children).
The Gidduck-based Borelli summary is scary. It deals with the next terror threat and the logic behind the choosing of the target, as well as the inherent legal shortcomings of the American system to deal with it. And, by the way, if you don’t think 49 terrorists can get in the country, the article deals with that as well.
Go HERE and prepare to wipe drool off your chin.
Scary for reasons you NEVER considered.

REPLACING CLAY PIGEONS
Anyway, before we get back into the “real” world, here’s ONE that is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.

OUTTA HERE
The fat traitor lawyer got 28 months (She's got cancer, she'll die in the joint), we should still nuke North Korea, it won't kill us to nuke Iran, we ought to let the military loose in Iraq before the Sunnis and Shiites kill all of each other, a SEAL who jumped on a grenade should have gotten an MOH (you think about doing that), Bill Clinton came out for torture, we killed more Taliban in Afghanistan in one battle than we have since that shit-stink started, and all is right with the world.
Hail to President Bush who's saddled with a country composed of 50 percent wimps.
Oh. And the rectum of a liberal is a bad place to put your head.
Good night and God bless.
My prayers go with those of you under the gun.
See ya next week.

DHIMMITUDE FOR DUMMIES
Read it if you DON’T THINK WE’VE GOT TROUBLE ON THE HORIZON
And if there are some of you out there who truly think that this entire terror- Islamacist horror is something a bunch of overweight, greedy, neocons dreamed up, give this a look purely from a historic perspective and then I’ll listen to an argument.

WELCOME BACK
He is First Lieutenant James L. Hull, U.S.Air Force, of Lubbock, Texas. He will be buried November 13 at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C.
On February 19, 1971, Hull and a fellow crew member were flying a mission near the Laos/Vietnam border when their O-2A Skymaster crashed. Both men died, but Hull’s body was buried in the wreckage and could not be recovered because of hostile action.
Welcome Home, Jim.

NUMBER ONE … WITH A BULLET
Here’s another John Walker Lindh (the American mutt who thought it was a cool idea to fight US forces in Afghanistan who is now in San Quentin married to a guy named Bubba). This guy’s real name was Adam Perlman (now better known as Azzam the American) and his background is one of those and-why-didn’t-he-shoot-up-a-schoolhouse-full-of-kids cases in point.
This home-schooled son of a psychedelic musician was brought up on a goat farm with no running water or electricity, eventually rebelling against his Christian upbringing. He then developed a love for heavy metal music and exploring alternative religions.
(Is this hysterically prototypical or what?)
Intrigued by Islam he began attending a mosque in Orange County, worked as a caretaker and befriended a small group of young Muslim immigrants from Pakistan, joining in attacks on less orthodox worshippers.
He began calling himself Adam Yahiye Gadahn and was arrested for beating up an imam and expelled from the mosque. In 1998 he fled his family home south of Los Angeles and travelled to an al- Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan, three years before the September 11 attacks.
He’s been busy making taped messages with al Qaeda’s video propaganda division (what? You thought the al Qaeda command are the same illiterates they get to die for them? Not by a long shot).
Anyway Azzam has really gone to the top of the charts now, having become the first American to be charged with treason since the Second World War.
Let’s hope it's Number One With a Bullet.
Oh Adam? I’d like you to meet your cellmate Bubba. Bubba, Adam.
FINALLY!
Regardless ... a lot of it’s in Arabic, but you don’t need to be able to read Arabic to get what it says. The site is available in English as well.
The videos are extremely well done, pointed and emphatic.
Excellent job by whomever these folks are.
IT’S REALLY AMAZING
I guess only liberals are allowed to be believably rude … Y’know, like Wallace’s dad.

OLBERMAN’S TAKE
I decided to take some of today’s headlines – as liberal as they may be – and ask ex jock sniffer and liberal icon, Keith Olberman his views.
The murder of reporter Anna Politkovskaya:
“That’s easy, Gary. The CIA on a directive from George Bush assassinated her.”
The possibility of UN sanctions against North Korea.
“You conservatives are all a like. Are you going to throw me a hardball? Of course if George hadn’t given the North Koreans the reason to have an atomic program, it wouldn’t be an issue.”
The new cartoons about Allah in Denmark:
“Once again, you’re being simplistic. Obviously the NSA is faxing this stuff at the behest of George Bush in his attempt to conquer the world.”
The Terrell Owens non-performance in Sunday’s Eagle-Cowboy NFL game.
“And yet another no brainer. Hello, Gary, the C-O-W-B-O-Y-S? And who do we know that comes from Texas? I don’t understand why this mystifies you neocons so.”
Brian Vickers spinning out both teammate Jimmy Johnson as well as Dale Earnhardt, Jr., at Talladega on Sunday.
“This at least has some merit, and I had to do some digging to answer this question. Brian Vickers was born on October 24, 1983 and George Bush was born on July 6, 1946. That means they were both born and they’re only 38 years apart. Only a simpleton such as you and your crowd could possibly ignore or fail to see the relationship. I won’t even go into the obvious relationship between Earnhardt, Jr., and Bush, Jr. who both had fathers they were named after. Good God, man, the evidence speaks for itself.”
I apologize for my stupidity, Keith.
“You ought to. But I don’t blame you for it. Quite obviously, it's George Bush’s fault.”

THE RETURN OF THE BROWN WATER NAVY
Looks like the Navy is back in the riverine warfare game. Cool story ... especially if any of you old Squids and Swift boatmen are around.
Check out Workboat Magazine .

IED SURVIVABILITY
There are some other images (AP Photos) as well as one of the van that launched the attack.
There’s also a very interesting piece titled Blast Resistance for Beginners on Defense Industry Daily that explains the difference between surviving and dying in an armored vehicle. It makes for sober reading and also raises more than a few questions regarding why our folks aren’t riding ONLY in vehicles that will survive IED strikes (which the f-----g Iranians are CONSTANTLY improving and shipping to the al Qaeda and Taliban. And you wonder why I say NUKE IRAN).
Regardless go to HERE
Both are interesting reads.
And, by the way, a long neglected thanks to our neighbors from the north who are ground pounding in Afghanistan. I think I've been quite remiss in not mentioning them more often.

THE POINT BURIES ONE OF ITS OWN
The first member of West Point's “Class of 9-11” to die in combat was buried at the military academy Tuesday, two weeks after she was killed by a bomb at the head of a convoy in Iraq.
Second Lt. Emily Perez, 23, was leading a platoon when a roadside bomb exploded Sept. 12 south of Baghdad. She was the first female West Point graduate to die in Iraq and the highest-ranking black and Hispanic woman cadet in the school's history. Perez was a Medical Service Corps officer assigned to the 204th Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division in Fort Hood, Texas.
The academy's Class of 2005 is called the “Class of 9-11” because the 2001 terrorist attacks occurred just weeks into the students' freshman year.
Dozens of cadets watched as she was buried in the West Point Cemetery. After accepting the folded American flag from Perez’ coffin, her mother leaned over, put her forehead on the casket and whispered.
Perez was fluent in German from growing up overseas. She also played the clarinet and helped start an AIDS ministry at her church. Before leaving for Iraq, she donated bone marrow to a stranger.

IN MEMORY
Lost in the memory of the day was the fact that the object of the raid — capturing some mutts — was successful and that somewhere between 700 and 1500 Somalia street fighters were killed during the attack. Seventy-three Amercians were wounded in the attack and rescue/wrap up.
The two Blackhawk helicopters taken down were hit by RPGs fired by al Qaeda fighters.
