SONGS FOR THE USS NEW YORK

Nashville Records announced last week that the DoD has requested them to provide original songs for the christening and commencement of the USS New York. The ship will be added to the Naval fleet and was constructed with 24 tons of melted steel from the World Trade Centers.

The christening, although not yet announced, is anticipated to take place on or around September 11 in New Orleans, with a commencement scheduled for New York.

Beginning next week the company is interviewing artist managers and artists for this and other upcoming projects. In June the company will be recording the title song, “The U.S.S. New York,” written by writers of Nashville Records.
