ORIENT POINT

A nice spring afternoon coming into the ferry dock.

Ahhhhhh. Summer's right around the corner.

WRIGHT FIRES BACK

Man, if I do decide to quit writing this thing — and thanks to those of you who are responding — it's gonna be hard.

Soooooo. The Rev. Wright is now calling the MSM liars, thieves and racist because he didn't really say what they said he said even though what he said in on CDs for any and all to hear.

But being whities they just can't .... I dunno ... can't believe their own damn ears?

Wright's a racist, a lying sack of shit, and he's Obama's mentor and spiritual guide.

Out-f-----g-standing.

IF YOU'RE READING THIS ...

Let me know, right here in the comments section.

I hear from a lot of people who seem to enjoy what I've been doing at LRRP's World, and I have been trying to stimulate and entertain you for over two years.

Time for a little give back.

If you'd like LRRP's World to continue, let me know in the comments section below.

Otherwise, it would appear, I really have been pissing against the wind, and it may be time to zip up.

SOME GOOD COMEDIANS

Bill Maher is still an asshole.

Here are some folks who entertained at Bethesda Naval Hospital on Tuesday. Two shows for the guys and gals.

Give 'em a hand and if they play near you go see them.

Steve Bills, Drake Witman, Kira Soltanovich and Tom Cotter.

Kudos.

4th FLEET ESTABLISHED

Official U.S. Navy file photo of Sailors attached to the Peruvian frigate Palacios (FM-56) approaching the stern gate of dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), during multi-national passenger transfers in UNITAS 48-07.

This may not mean much to you non military types, but you geo-political types might be interested.

The U.S.Navy has officially established a 4th Fleet. It will take charge of ops in the Carib, Central and South America. HERE'S the full story.

Hmmmmm. Can you say "boom" in Venezuelan? Hey, Chavez! Guess what?

Mark this one with a big shit-eating grin.

IN THE (LRRP’s World) NEWS

Green Not So Good?
What is the hoo-hah about plastic bottles all about? Apparently recycling ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, though I doubt anyone will make that connection. Nonetheless, what it really is about is $$$$. A Californian woman has already filed suit against the makers of nalgene plastic bottles. No word on how much the woman is asking for (for her and her two children, ages 11 and 13) nor are their any physical ailments of the three noted in the suit, but who cares? Anybody can sue anybody, as long as there’s cash to be found.

And the Beat Goes On … and On and On and ….
Hillary and Obama are still duking it out. I can only hope this goes on until the Democrat's convention.

Can you say, “a white male becomes president?” (oooooooooh! Hush. Not only are you a racist, but an anti-feminist! Which brings up an interesting semantic argument. How come I ain't an anti-racist if I'm an anti-feminist?)

I Told You We Should Nuke Them
Apparently North Korea and Syria were working on building a reactor. Oh, sure. Just to provide electricity. Of course. How paranoid of me to think otherwise. Nuke 'em and we won't have to talk about either one of them for a while.

Screw ‘Em. They’re All Dying Off Anyway
The classy folks at Time Magazine decided to emphasize the “battle” for the environment by putting a tree in place of the American flag, using the famous Joe Rosenthal photo of the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima. Let’s see... Greenie bullshit, anti-Americanism, trivialization of dead American troops, a spit in the eye of any Marine … all on one cover. What genius thought that was a great idea?

Can you say liberal, commie scumbags? And I don’t care if the only commies don't count anymore.

Speaking of Scumbags … Then There’s Bill Maher
Oh, right. He’s a comedian. He makes fun of every religion. No he f-----g doesn’t. Try saying what he said about Catholicism about any other religion. He wouldn’t even be a footnote in television history by now. He's an anti-Catholic dick. Period. And, no, you get over it.

[An aside. Wanna know why Maher hates Catholicism? Her was raised Catholic, and didn't find out his mother was Jewish until he was a teenager. Awww, poor Bill...soooo mixed up. Asshole.]

Okay. I gotta’ go do some real work now.

DANICA DOES IT

Awright! Danica Patricks becomes the first female to win an IRL race, taking the Indy Japan 300 at Twin Ring Motegi in the land of the Rising Sun.

Congratulations, you were overdue and you earned it big time. Now go get some mo'.

For a brief and less than all-encompassing look at females in motor racing (they neglect to mention Janet Guthrie, among others, but it's mostly about the women running the drags), check Racing One's article HERE.

A BIG DUH!

I've been working on a movie project (my first) and have had to convert a lot of ancient slides into digital. The slides were in absolutely terrible condition, but I got usable stuff out of them, thanks to a guy with the unusual name of Joyal Holder.

He runs Holder Printworks, and if you need to get images into a digital format, or if you want the complete treatment (music, etc), he's the man to see.

Anyway ... the above was taken while I was on assignment — no not in Indonesia — but in Oregon and Washington, of the good ol' USA.

And you thought you were safe!

Expect to see some more cool shots in the coming weeks.

HOW THE “NEW” WORLD ECONOMY WORKS ... I THINK

I know zippo about economics, but here’s an example — I think — of how the new world economy works.

Chrysler signed a new OEM (original equipment manufacturer) agreement with Nissan today (Nissan sunsidiary JATCO has been supplying transmissions to Chrysler since 2004, so this isn’t out of the blue).

This came about because Nissan agreed to supply Chrysler with a new car based on the Nissan Versa for limited sale in South America.

The new contract allows Nissan to manufacture an all-new small car based on a Chrysler concept or design to be sold in North America, Europe, etc., in 2010. The vehicle will be manufactured in Nissan’s Oppama Plant in Japan.

In return, Chrysler gets to manufacture a full-size pickup for Nissan, based on a Nissan design. This truck will be built in Chrysler’s Saltillo Assembly Plant in Mexico.

In order to accommodate the production of the Nissan pickup, the present volume from the Saltillo plant will be shifted to U.S.-based plants (unnamed) that produce Chrysler pickups. This starts in 2011.

Both companies expect to, “explore further product-sharing opportunities,” according to a press release issued today.

I dunno’ about you, but … I have no idea what it means … I found it interesting nonetheless.

HERE’S TO “CHENEY AND OTHERS”

As an AP report noted, “administration officials from the Vice President on down signed off on using harsh interrogation techniques against suspected terrorists.” Blah-blah-blah-blah.

First off, who cares, unless you’re commending them? Secondly, so what? Thirdly, I’ll say it again: if kicking the crap out of a terrorist sympathizer saves one soldier’s life, well — as we used to say in the Nam — xing loi ... which loosely translates to tough shit.

In the words of that oh-so-politically-incorrect bumper sticker: “No matter what you think of George Bush … he’s sure killed a lot of Arabs.”

The Bush Administration may not have gotten everything right, but what they did get right, they got right. To bad the bleeding hearts can't adjust their morals to that, like they do for anything else that happens to be inconvenient.

THE PETRAEUS HEARINGS

An empanelment of — by and large — a group of election-year buffoonery with little knowledge, situational ethics and less honor, covered by a subjective media, all of whom refuse to acknowledge the repercussions of their actions, questioning an honorable man with a complete understanding of the subject who has to suffer their idiocy.

Sometimes you gotta’ figure that democracy in action ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

THE HADDITHA MASSACRE

You remember that, right? All the bad Marines killing all the innocent Iraqis? I hate to copy two in a row from The Patriot Post but some times it's not worth my inserting my own version of events, when there's is so terse and pointed.

Another Marine cleared in Haditha case

Though you wouldn’t know it from Leftmedia accounts or films like “Redacted” and “Battle for Haditha,” the case against the “Haditha Massacre” Marines has been falling apart for a couple of years now. In the most recent development, all charges were dropped against Lance Cpl. Stephen Tatum without explanation (read: lack of evidence). He is the third Marine to be exonerated, leaving only one to face court martial. “Lance Corporal Tatum wants to make it clear to the Marine Corps—especially other Marines—and everyone else that there were no deals in this decision,” said attorney Jack Zimmermann, a former military judge and retired Marine. “I have never had a client who would have more preferred to have a trial rather than have the charges dismissed in a deal. He has believed all along he did nothing wrong and was prepared and anxious to stand trial.” Somehow we doubt that Hollywood or Rep. Jack Murtha (D-“in cold blood”) will be apologizing for their rush to judgment.

MAYBE THE WHITE DEVILS AIN'T ALL THAT BAD

Yes, I'm talking about that black KKKer, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Here's the kind of inspirational messages and moral integrity we can expect in the White House (oops, can I say that?) should Obama be elected. From my buds at The Patriot Post.

I'm sure there's something terribly racist of me in even printing this, but if so, so be it.

"When we retire, most of us worry about becoming ill and losing the home we have lived in for years, but for the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his version of Social Security includes a 10,000-square-foot palatial estate valued at $1.6 million—in the America that Wright thinks God has damned.

"While the Rev. Wright is known for his ranting against the evils of the white race, his new dwelling will be situated in Tinley Park, a Chicago suburb that is less than two percent black [emphasis added—GPJ], according to Census records. Wright’s former church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is also on the hook for a $10-million line of credit that was secured at the same time as the home mortgage. While it’s not unusual for a church to provide for a retired pastor, the scope of this package raises serious questions about its appropriateness. Maybe this is what Barack Obama means when he talks about “sharing the prosperity.”

"Meanwhile, Reverend Wright has cancelled several recent speaking engagements because of “security concerns.” Perhaps the former pastor to Barack and Michelle Obama can find sufficient security in his new home’s gated community. However, the questions about comments made by Jeremiah Wright will continue to dog the Obama presidential campaign even if Wright now keeps his trap shut."

FIVE YEARS AND STILL COUNTING

Five years into the war and untold number of GIs with their legs blown off from IEDs, we're finally "catching up." With all our industrial might it's taken this long to field equipment — MRAPs — that can protect our guys. I was riding in Hummers in Bosnia in which the grunts (in this case 4/12 Scout Snipers) were lining the floors with sandbags (which makes a small space for four guys to sleep surprisingly smaller). That was in 1996 or so.

Damn, but that's depressing. The government owes an apology and a helluva' lot more to a lot of troops. But no one's protesting that! That's 'cause they love our troops so much.

Above is a new EOD vehicle, the RL-33, built by US company BAE OMC.

All we had to do was ask the South Africans how to do it.
