EVEREST NEWS

According to MOUNTEVEREST.NET as of 1154 today (4/18/06), a “snow storm, expected to last three days has wrapped itself around Everest. Strong winds are howling on the north side, while heavy snow fall has buried the Khumbu icefall on the south: Climbers there are stuck in C1, and Simone Moro had to return back up to C2 after a dense whiteout blocked his descent back to BC. In fact, climbing teams report very bad weather all over Nepal.”

Well, this season’s off to a not so bright start.
