AW, THE POOR REPORTERS ...

There’s some form of logic here … or not

The Times reports that it’s real dangerous for journalists in Iraq, and that they “can’t go anywhere” in Baghdad. They then go on to proclaim, “the problem is much worse than the American people realize.”

Okay. What problem? The problem that the journalists are too chicken shit to do their (well-paying) job?

Or is it the problem that reporting that something is too dangerous without going where the danger is, isn’t reporting, it’s passing rumor?

Or could it be that — like so many journalists have been accused — it’s just not safe calling it in from the bar anymore because they’re too many witnesses?
