A golf commentator made a passing reference on television the other day that if any of the other golfers had a hope of beating Tiger Woods they'd better string him up in alley.
To keep the non-issue going (Tiger wasn't phased about the comment), Golfweek Magazine ran a giant noose on its cover ... and as a result the editor was fired.
The guy got fired for putting a noose on the cover of a magazine to illustrate the story of a guy saying that other golfers should hang a black golfer who happens to be the best golfer in the world.
Now, was the original statement dumb? Of course.
Was the noose on the cover dumb? Of course.
Political Correctness — just another name for more insidious racism.
