NEWS FROM THE NEW WARFRONT

Let’s see …

Indonesia
In the ever-ongoing capitulation of American ideals, new Sec State Hillary Clinton, while in Indonesia — once home to our president — said, according to AP, she “… intends to announce plans to step up U.S. engagement with Southeast Asia in particular, stressing the growing importance of a region that often felt slighted by the Bush administration.”

The last time that was said, we ended up in a land-war in Southeast Asia, as I recall.

Why we want to “rehabilitate America's image abroad, especially with Muslims” is beyond me, but that’s the New States of America for ya’.

Pakistan
Pakistan signed a peace agreement with the Taliban, essentially ceding the Swat Valley-area to 5th century tribal clerics, a.k.a., the Taliban. Apparently the Pakistanis have bought into the Chamberlain Policy of defeating aggression — just like the former-US has shown it will do.

We all know how well that worked the last time, don’t we?
