Here is an interesting, thoughtful, had-to-argue-with piece by a writer name Ralph Peters regarding the damage done by the Bush Administration war policies, and how it has handcuffed our military — and how it will certainly justify this increasingly insane liberal administration — in the application of necessary force.
I found nothing in it that one can point to and say, "this is wrong," so it is certainly well-worth the read. It's not overly long (as pieces about strategy go) and should be completely read, because the points it make are already becoming evident.
Liberals Note: This isn't an "I Hate Bush" stomp-your-feet tantrum. This is a look at how good intent can be mis-applied by intelligentsia regardless of political denomination. It's also a sorry look at how democracy is not an altar when war has to be waged.
The entire piece appeared in Armed Forces Journal and is called The Damage Done: The Bush Administration Discredited Crucial Strategic Concepts.
It can be read fully HERE, and is a must-read.
Thanks to Capt. J for the heads up.
