What the two sailors abducted in Afghanistan — one was killed and one abducted as it turns out — were doing when the incident occurred is still kinda’ mysterious. The Navy “doesn’t know” why they were outside the wire, how long they were in Afghanistan, what there actual jobs were, etc.
Smells kinda’ spookish to me.
