OIL PRICES

Saudi Arabia boosted production to make up any shortfall in Libyan oil supplies, and Qatar has agreed to market whatever oil the Libyan rebels hold.

And we're paying $4-plus per gallon why?

WAIT AN EFFIN' MINUTE ...!

Let's see if I get this straight.

If a Republican launches missiles at a Middle Eastern target who happens to be killing and otherwise abusing his population, he's called an oil-seeking war monger.

But if a Democrat does it he's a humanist concerned merely with saving people from harm and introducing democracy to them.

Oh, and this all cost us — as in you and I — $81 million.

And if the Democrat does the very thing the people we are fighting two wars against (al qaeda) want to do (they issued the fatwa on Thursday calling for the overthrow of ol' Daffy Qadaffi, not me) he's not only a humanitarian, he's a fucking military genius.

Will somebody explain to me — and all our troops who bear the brunt of this shit — how this happened? And why nobody seems to give a shit?

ARE WE REALLY THIS STUPID?

All caps here, folks:

WE DON'T IMPORT ENOUGH OIL/GAS FROM LIBYA TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE ....OUR GAS PRICES ARE BEING MANIPULATED BY THE VERY SAME PEOPLE THE MEDIA HAS BEEN CASTIGATING FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS.

MEANWHILE THE MEDIA IS MIS-REPORTING WHY GAS PRICES ARE UP.

IT'S LOCAL THIEVERY, ABETTED BY THE U.S GOVERNMENT (for what reason, I can't begin to figure out) and the MSM (don't understand why they'd be party to it, either).

ONCE AGAIN:

WE DON'T GET ANY/ENOUGH FUCKING OIL FROM LIBYA TO MAKE A DIF IN THE PRICE AT THE PUMP !!!!!

LIBYAN/GAS CONNECTION? BULLSHIT!

Don't buy a bit of the bullshit everyone is putting out about the connection between Libya and gas prices.

It's pure bullshit. Here's the US import record from last year, as per the United States Energy Information Service.

Why is gas so high? For the same reason a dog licks himself.

December 2010 Import Highlights: Released February 25, 2011

Monthly data on the origins of crude oil imports in December 2010 has been released and it shows that four countries exported more than 1,000 thousand barrels per day to the United States (see table below). The top five exporting countries accounted for 72 percent of United States crude oil imports in December while the top ten sources accounted for approximately 88 percent of all U.S. crude oil imports. The top five sources of US crude oil imports for December were Canada (2,064 thousand barrels per day), Mexico (1,223 thousand barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (1,076 thousand barrels per day), Nigeria (1,024 thousand barrels per day), and Venezuela (825 thousand barrels per day). The rest of the top ten sources, in order, were Iraq (336 thousand barrels per day), Angola (307 thousand barrels per day), Brazil (271 thousand barrels per day), Algeria (262 thousand barrels per day), and Colombia (220 thousand barrels per day). Total crude oil imports averaged 8,631 thousand barrels per day in December, which is an increase of 23 thousand barrels per day from November 2010.

Canada remained the largest exporter of total petroleum in December, exporting 2,713 thousand barrels per day to the United States, which is an increase from last month (2,510 thousand barrels per day). The second largest exporter of total petroleum was Mexico with 1,365 thousand barrels per day.

ALLAHU AKBAR. OH, KISS MY ASS

Al Jazeera makes CNN and MS-NBC, Bill Maher and Keith Olberman look like actual journalists.

Their take on Egypt? “Israeli army will cash in on Egyptian revolution.”
Hmmm. Well, okay, why not?

What do they have to say about Libya? “Gaddafi has failed to digest that western friendships do not really matter when the curtain falls.” Meanwhile, he's killing every friggin' Arab he can find.

This one is classic — about Libya: “It was a classic case of a leader blinded by power, who has been around for too long, and who seemingly believes the many stories, or should we say lies, that he has fed his people for 42 unbearable years.”
Can I get a big Uhhh-DUHHHH on that? And can Al Jazeera explain why every MFing leader in the ME fits that description?

Iran? “The Iranian day of reckoning is coming. This is why America is moving their troops out, no matter what…”
Hmmm. I didn’t think we had troops there. Must be all those pesky CIA hikers.

Allahu Akbar this.

AT LEAST SOME JIHADIST GET IT

Interesting story HERE about how some hard core jihadists in Libya are turning on the sickos of al Qaeda.

These guys finally figured out that the Koran doesn't okay killing anybody and everybody. Won't do the guys and gals in AFghanistan or Iraq any good — they're still fair game, apparently — but at least it smacks of some intelligence vis a vis 5th century thought.
