US VET REMOVES ILLEGAL MEX FLAG ... MAY BE CHARGED
Something else the MSM doesn’t want you to hear about (go and see if this made your news), and for a couple of reasons: 1) it might prompt others to stand up for their country; 2) the guy might get applauded; 3) if enough people hear about it the guy might not get charged; 4) they’d prefer doing Spanish language editions since there is money to be made in that untapped market.
And for those who think this is absolutely FAH-bew-luss the law says it’s constitutionally illegal [NOTE: this is incorrect. It sucks, but apparently the Constitution doesn't say that. My bad, but I don't care. It's morally reprehensible to dishonor something for which so many have died defending. Period. — GPJ / 10/6/07]
If you want to abuse the First Amendment (among others), then you’ll have to play by the book that comes with it. [If it was okay to do it, it's okay to stop it. I assume all Americans are allowed free speech. — GPJ / 10/6/07]
Anyway …
Here’s the story:
“A Veteran from Reno, Nevada has hit headlines after he took matters into his own hands yesterday and tore down a Mexican flag that was being illegally flown above a U.S. flag at a local business.
“News station krnv News 4 had received calls yesterday afternoon from angry residents complaining about the Mexican flag.
“When the station sent a reporter to investigate the Veteran took the opportunity to make a statement in front of the cameras.
“The man commented, “I’m Jim Brossert and I took this flag down in honor of my country with a knife from the United States army. I’m a veteran, I am not going to see this done to my country. if they want to fight us, then they need to be men, and they need to come and fight us, but I want somebody to fight me for this flag. They're not going to get it back.”

That guy ROCKS! I would've thought that immigrants would have been made aware of Old Glory etiquette. Serves the store owner right just chalk it up to lessons learned the hard way.
