Neil McGill Gorsuch (born August 29, 1967) is a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Gorsuch is a proponent of originalism and of textualism in interpreting the constitution.
On January 31, 2017, President Donald Trump nominated Gorsuch to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, to fill the seat left vacant after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
