BEST BUDS
Now... if I can get a picture of him shaking hands with that other outstanding citizen, Al Sharpton, from last night, my day is complete.
(Thanks to KB from NYC for passing on the 2009 shot)

HOW OUT OF TOUCH IS HE?
Look. Personally I don't give a rat's ass whether or not the president speaks to the Boy Scouts.
BUT ...
Being it's their 100th anniversary, being he's honorary chairman, and being that 45,000 future voters and (generally) upstanding citizens will be at the ceremony, you'd think he could squeeze it in.
Scheduling conflict, say his handlers. Know what the conflict is?
He's gonna be on The View.
Jeez, Louise ... this guy — and his people — are so out of touch with mainstream America, it ain't funny.
Then again, there hasn't been a lot funny since he was elected.

THE GREAT GOD OBAMA
So for a guy with two years experience in community relations and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE, President Obama has decried capitalism wrong (to whit: government takeovers of banks and auto manufacturers), our energy policy wrong, our health care system wrong, our foreign policies mostly wrong, our war policies wrong — etc., et al — and has all the ways to amend these wrongs ready to go.
Does anybody but me think this is really weird that everyone out there actually thinks this is sane?

WHY THE MSM CAN'T BE TRUSTED — AGAIN
This from the Patriot Post. Naturally, it'll get zero play in the MSM.
New York Times Gets the 'Spike' Award
"In October 2008, The New York Times happened upon a story involving the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), Project Vote and the Obama campaign. Heather Heidelbaugh, who represents the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee in its lawsuit, testified to the House Judiciary subcommittee, however, that the Times spiked the story just when it got interesting. A former ACORN worker served as a "confidential informant" for the Times for several months -- at least until she revealed that the Obama campaign had sent its donor list to ACORN. The worker claims that the campaign asked ACORN to "reach out to the maxed-out donors and solicit donations from them for Get Out the Vote efforts to be run by ACORN." The Times reporter informed her that her editors wished to kill the story because it was "a game changer." Funny, that didn't stop the Times from publishing a flimsy and fact-challenged piece alleging that John McCain had a long-ago relationship with a female lobbyist. As Dr. Paul Kengor, professor of Political Science at Grove City College, observed, "The New York Times is a liberal newspaper. It is dedicated to furthering the Democratic Party. People think The New York Times is an objective news source and it is not." And other than a few conservative blogs, this story has been similarly spiked by the Leftmedia."
If I haven't said it enough ... the reason the newspaper industry in standing on line at the wake is because they stopped reporting news during the election campaign, and turned into Entertainment Weekly or some-such. And — surprise — everyone noticed.
Good riddance on paying for yesterday's news ... although my birdcage will miss them.

HIGHWAY TO HELL
Under the heading of "If Americans don't get it ..."
Calling the American administration's economic policies "the way to hell," Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek (Czech.) opined the Obama administration’s stimulus package and financial bailout “will undermine the stability of the global financial market.”
Let's see. I guess they teach basic mathematics in Czechloslovakia, something they obviously don't do in many schools on this side of The Pond.
The comments were made at an EU meeting yesterday.

SMARMY LITTLE BASTARDS
You get a look of President Obama's advisors during the speech? What a bunch of arrogant little smirking pricks.
This is the scum elected to run our country into the ground.
God, if that wasn't worth a bullet!

HELLO OBAMUNISM
In one of what is becoming a freak show parade of ludicrous decisions built on foundations of shifting mud, the EPA and its President Obama-appointed head Lisa Jackson (formerly of New Jersey), has decided that — reality be damned — she’s stopping coal production and anything else she can find that isn’t green.
Mind you, this is all based on quasi science that is unprovable, and is being done in economic climate that cannot withstand another broadside, being its pumps are running full steam ahead and its barely gunwales-above-water.
Cap and trade it’s called, and if you think $4 a gallon gasoline was bad last summer, wait until you try to pay your electric bill this summer.
These idiots are working in vacuums of their own importance and arrogance and making decisions they are woefully unqualified to make, while the Chosen One, gaffes his way around the non-teleprompter world uttering banal generalities, while every liberal cow in the nations goes Elsie eyed in adoration.
Can you say “Bye, bye America” and “Hello Obamunism?”

DEJA VU — OBAMA CUDDLES WITH IRAN
Apparently the lessons of history aren't a topic that carry much weight in the White House, to wit: the President's overture to Iran on becoming a peaceful nation.
The last time this Carterian diplomacy was applied we ended up the laughingstock of the world. The only consolation was that it was the death knell for that administration, sparing us from anymore Democratic "successes." I can only hope that this harbinger has the same results this time around.
Nothing like proffering 21st century sophistical arguments to 5th century kill-the-crusaders befuddled intellects. It's truly amazing how far some of these "islamic" republics have fallen insofar as civilization is concerned ... but President Barry is gonna' keep on talking to them, as if they're Jay Leno with beards.
Nuke Iran
Nuke DC
Nuke NK
(This list is starting to get depressingly long.)

THAT'S HOW TO RUN A GOVERNMENT. NOT
No more enemy combatants in Gitmo, it's all Bush's fault, blame a talk show host for everything you can't slap on Bush, spend three times the money you have, go back on all your campaign promises, appoint nothing but crooks, liars and has-beens to important positions in the government, "threaten" to negotiate with any enemy the US is beating, and focus on the problem at hand (the economy your own party brought down) with a shotgun instead of a long rifle.
Real smart work, Mr. President.
I was wrong about Barack Hussein Obama ... apparently he has plenty of experience in fucking up a country.
Thanks, President Barry, for being just another political hack at a time when we needed someone — anyone — with balls.

ECONOMY STILL A MESS DESPITE OBAMA EFFORT
Would someone please explain to me why the stock market continues to tank, as the Socialists continues to throw money at it?
Is there a reason the media hasn't asked this question?

RUSH THROWS THE GAUNTLET
SInce the character assassins with whom President Barry has surrounded himself are busy getting the rank-and-file MSM to march to the Limbaugh is the Devil beat, Rush one upped them.
Since he's been — quite vocally — nominated as the face of American Conservatism (read: bad guy) by the Obama Administration, he has offered to cover all expenses for the President to debate him on energy, economics, constitutionality, socialism, and a few other topics.
Next move: The White House.

HOW MUCH AN HOUR?!
"President Barack Obama unveiled his budget for next year (the Federal government's next fiscal year begins on October 1, 2009) and it comes out to about $3.6 TRILLION dollars.
"If we pretend there are 360 days in a year, that works out to $10 Billion a day, $417 Million an hour. $6.9 Million per minute. $115,000 per second. Every second. Starting at one second after Midnight on October 1, 2009." — political analyst Rich Galen (via The Patriot Post).

I PROMISE A LINE BY LINE —YET ANOTHER OBAMA LIE
When President Obama was running for office, he promised — and all the cretins who voted for him believed — that he would "reduce wasteful government spending." He said he'd do a "line by line" assessment of any budget. And all the morons — to the tune of 52 percent of the voting public — believed him.
Soooooo ... here's a look at some of the 9000 earmarks included in the most recent budget. All of this — according to the Commies now running the country is due to adjustments having to be made because of the last president. And these are just a few of the beauts.
They come to LRRP's World courtesy of Senator John McCain's Twitter messages — all comments below are his.
$951,500 for Sustainable Las Vegas
$250,000 to enhance research on Ice Seal populations
$150,000 for a rodeo museum in South Dakota
$143,000 for Nevada Humanities to develop and expand an online encyclopedia - Anyone heard of Wikipedia?
$238,000 for the Polynesian Voyaging Society in Hawaii - During these tough economic times with Americans out of work
$100,000 for the regional robotics training center in Union, SC - Does R2D2 or CP30 know about this?
$1,427,250 for genetic improvements of switchgrass - I thought switchgrass genes were pretty good already, guess I was wrong.
$167,000 for the Autry National Center for the American West in Los Angeles, CA
$143,000 to teach art energy - Art can produce energy? If so, then investing in the arts may lead to energy independence.
$100,000 for the Central Nebraska World Trade Center
$1.7 million for pig odor research in Iowa
$2 million “for the promotion of astronomy” in Hawaii - because nothing says new jobs for average Americans like investing in astronomy
$332,000 for the design and construction of a school sidewalk in Franklin, Texas - not enough $ for schools in the stimulus?
$2.1 million for the Center for Grape Genetics in New York - quick peel me a grape.
$650,000 for beaver management in North Carolina and Mississippi
$1 million for mormon cricket control in Utah - is that the species of cricket or a game played by the brits?
$300,000 for the Montana World Trade Center - enough said
$200,000 "tattoo removal violence outreach program to could help gang members or others shed visible signs of their past" REALLY?
$475,000 to build a parking garage in Provo City, Utah
$1.7M for a honey bee factory in Weslaco, TX.

PRESIDENT OBAMA — WHAT A CARD!
Oh golly, that President Obama is such a card.
First he tells everybody how he’s going to bring transparency to government and then hides a trillion dollar pork barrel in 1000 pages of unread tree waste.
Then he tells the 52 percent of the idiots who voted for him, that things are gonna change in DC when he gets there, and gets on board a half-tRillion dollar budget that contains 9,000 — count ‘em, 9,000 — earmarks.
Let’s see. Oh yeah. Iraq. He’s gonna wind down the war. Doesn’t say anything about ending it — especially now that all the hard work has been done — just is gonna’ leave and send the guys to Afghanistan. Where he can leave just before the next election. That timetable is just about right.
Then, his idea of being “strong” on terrorism is apparently doing away with water boarding (or torture, as he apparently considers it) and releasing terrorist scum fucks into the American judicial system, thereby giving them all the same rights as you or I. Hey, that’s what I call getting tough on terrorist. Every camel shagging jihadist that can listen to a radio is laughing hysterically.
Then he sics two of his hired hands, Democratic strategists James Carville and Paul Begala, on starting to get the media to usurp the next election (God knows, he's gonna need to usurp it if he expects two terms).
I won't even mention his abortion stance (which I happen to agree with).
And that’s just all this week’s news.
Wake up, America. If you think the recession is bad, wait until we get into the "recovery."
Break out those dusty Communist Manifestos.

STATE OF THE UNION
Well, as speeches go, it was well delivered. Empty of substance, but well delivered and promising everyone the world.
As State of the Union rebuttals go ... why the hell has the Republican Party been hiding Governor Bobby Jindal? That boy should be our NEXT president.
I'm sorry. I hope President Obama is able to pull this off. But going into debt and spending money on health, education and energy, ain't gonna cut it. Fixing the education and health systems is fine ... and continuing the development of alternate energy (y'know, wind and solar are great, but what about the cleanest and most powerful alternate fuel source ... and one that is actually proven: nuclear?) is fine ... but none of them address the current problems. Nor does ensuring that NO one pays taxes unless they're not successful.
Typical socialist clap trap.
Ah, well. We shall — unfortunately — see.
Watch the Street tomorrow.
The last bunch of times the President or his cabinet dolittles have spoken with "good" news, the market (which couldn't possibly know anything about economics) has tanked.
